Brass Instructor Chris Tutza

Hello! My name is Chris Tutza, I am a second-year Music Education student at Eastern Illinois University, and I have been playing the trombone for about 19 years. I am a post-baccalaureate student, which means I already have a bachelor's degree, and at my previous university I was very active in the band program; I got the opportunity to play trombone, baritone/euphonium, tuba, and horn in various marching, concert, jazz, orchestral, and chamber groups as well as being drum major for two years and pep band director for three years. Here at Eastern, I study the trombone with Dr. Jemmie Robertson and played the tuba in Eastern Symphonic Band during the spring 2015 semester. Currently I play the trombone in the Wind Symphony, Jazz Ensemble, Panther Marching Band, and the Basketball Pep Band.
